Chichester Music Society, formerly Funtington Music Group, was founded in 1992 by Robert Headley at his Funtington home and moved to the University in 2004. The aim and traditions of the group are to provide members with excellent musical performance and the opportunity to extend their musical knowledge and understanding, and to support the musical careers of students at the University. Since 2004 over £90,000 has been awarded in prizes, musical instruments and bursaries.
The Society will not be running a full programme of events for 2024. It will be running two workshop/concerts with the University orchestras. The first of these, featuring the Baroque ensemble Red Priest, will take place on Friday 19th April at 7.30pm. Programme details and ticket information will appear here in due course.
